Families and entrepreneurs with assets in several countries who are planning to live, do business or invest in Georgia.

The figure is not what matters here. What matters is the complexity: how many countries, how many people and how many specialists have to work together.

Our role

We are not a bank, a law firm, a tax adviser or an asset manager.

We choose licensed specialists, bring them together in one plan and make sure each of them knows only what their own task requires.

One coordinator

The family has one coordinator who knows every matter and answers every question.

The coordinator has a deputy who is fully briefed, so that a holiday or an illness does not stop the process.

Other team members join only for a specific task and see only the information that task needs.

The first conversation

In the first conversation we listen: what you want, by when, and what matters most to the family.

At this stage we need no documents. We need a picture, so that we can put together the right team.

After the conversation we send you a written plan: the steps, the specialists and the order.

Confidentiality

Here confidentiality is not just a promise but a way of working.

In internal correspondence the family's name is replaced by a code, and access to documents is restricted.

We send partners only the documents their task requires.

The confidentiality agreement

Before work begins we sign a confidentiality agreement.

Our partners - lawyers, accountants, the security company - are bound by the same obligation.

The agreement is prepared in two languages, and your own lawyer can review it in advance.

Keeping documents

Documents are kept in a secure space, not in an ordinary messenger.

Passports and financial documents are handed over only for as long as the task requires.

When the work ends, we agree what is kept and what is deleted.

Choosing the team

We choose the lawyer, accountant and bank for the family's task, not from one list used for everyone.

We check experience with similar matters, language and how they work with foreign colleagues.

If the family already has its own advisers, we build the Georgian team around them.

The lawyer

A Georgian lawyer checks every deal, contract and structure against local law.

In a complex matter the Georgian lawyer and the lawyer from your country work together, and we translate their correspondence.

Important decisions are put in writing, with a short conclusion in your language.

The tax adviser

A family's tax position has two sides: Georgia and the countries where the family still has ties.

The Georgian adviser explains the local rules, and the adviser from your country explains theirs.

We make sure both work from the same facts.

Tax residency

In Georgia tax residency depends mainly on the time spent in the country.

In some cases the law allows residency to be obtained on the basis of assets or income, by application.

The conditions change from time to time, so the adviser checks the current requirements each time.

The rules of your home country

Georgian residency does not mean your previous country automatically stops taxing you.

Some countries tax their citizens or former residents for years.

So we compare the move plan with the adviser in your country before anything changes.

Private banking

The large Georgian banks have private banking departments with a personal manager.

Such service means individual terms and faster communication.

We choose the bank according to the family's needs: currencies, international transfers, investment products.

Opening an account

For a high-net-worth client the bank's checks are more detailed, and that is normal.

The bank asks for an explanation of the source of wealth and income, often with several years of history.

We prepare the document pack in advance, so that the check is completed in one round.

Source of funds

Every large sum needs an explanation: the sale of a business, a dividend, an inheritance, the sale of property.

The explanation must be backed by documents, often translated and certified.

A pack prepared well once will then serve you at the bank, at the notary and at the registry.

An asset map

In a complex situation an asset map is useful: what is where, in whose name and with what obligations.

Only the family and its advisers hold this map. We use it only for coordination.

The map is updated after every major change.

Buying property

Buying a house or an apartment involves the same checks described on the investment page.

The difference is that viewings are often private, and showings are arranged around the family's schedule.

The Public Registry is open, so we discuss in advance what information will become visible.

Owning a business

If the family owns or opens a business in Georgia, its management and reporting have to fit the family's other assets.

It often needs a local director or manager whom the family trusts.

When choosing a manager we check their track record, references and any conflict of interest.

Structures

Sometimes property or a business is held through a company or another structure.

The structure must be lawful and transparent - the bank and the registry always see the real owner.

The lawyer and adviser choose the structure, taking into account the rules of every country the family is linked to.

Succession planning

When property is in several countries, succession involves several legal systems.

A Georgian will, a foreign will and the articles of any structures must not contradict each other.

The lawyers check these documents together, and the family receives a short explanation of every change.

Family members

Different family members have different needs: one a business, another a school, a third a doctor.

Security

Georgia is, as a rule, a safe country, but a high-profile family sometimes needs extra protection.

Close protection is provided by a licensed company, and its level is set by a risk assessment.

Often small measures are enough: a trusted driver, a home alarm and a sensible schedule.

Transport and a driver

A permanent driver gives the family peace of mind, especially when the children are on the move.

We choose the driver by experience, language and background.

For a private flight we arrange the charter, ground handling and the VIP lounge.

Border and customs formalities are prepared in advance, so that passengers lose no time at the airport.

Health

We choose a clinic and a family doctor who speaks the family's language.

We take chronic conditions into account, so that the right specialist is known in advance.

We choose international health insurance that is valid in Georgia.

Art and collections

Bringing in works of art, antiques or collections requires customs documents.

Some items need an additional permit or an expert assessment, especially when taking them out of the country.

We entrust transport and insurance to a specialised company.

Pets

Bringing a pet in requires veterinary documents and a vaccination history.

The way it flies - in the cabin, in the hold, on a private plane - has to be agreed in advance.

We find a vet and a pet sitter in Georgia ahead of time.

Travel and leisure

Nobody can guarantee that every institution will say yes - neither can we.

What we do not do

We do not help hide assets or owners from banks, the registry or the state.

We do not work anonymously and do not accept cash for large sums.
